What Kind of Designer Am I?
Hey there, I’m Tristan and I’m a graphic designer looking to create new designs that people will remember.
WORK
Graphic design, for me, is more than just solving a problem, it’s an opportunity to explore ideas and push creative boundaries. I care deeply about originality, and I try to approach every project with a mindset of curiosity and experimentation. Rather than settling for the first solution that works, I challenge myself to find something more engaging, more intentional, and more meaningful.
My process is driven by a balance between creativity and purpose. While I value strong visual outcomes, I also make sure each design communicates clearly and connects with its audience. I see design as both an expressive and strategic practice, where creativity isn’t just decoration, it’s a tool for impact.

Mugo
Athelas Type Specimen
A booklet containing designs that display the usability and aesthetic of the typeface “Athelas”. Made with the goal of convincing someone to use the typeface in their projects. Containing 12 separate pages of designs all using the typeface as visuals simultaneously showing off what the typeface looks like.
Mugo is an app that is designed to work in tandem with a real life object. That object being a reusable coffee cup. The idea is that with this cup you can pay for your drink and also use it as your drinking cup. There’s a built in RFID chip at the bottom of the cup to tap at registers. It connects to an app that the user can collect rewards on and add up savings to earn free items from select brands that partner with Mugo.
Sensational Spaces
One of a few VR experiences I created, this one was meant to feel like you were in a familiar place while something stimulated the players emotions or senses. I decided to create a bedroom that took place at night during a rainstorm. While standing in the small room, next to you is the sound of rain hitting the outside of the house, while at the same time music echos from somewhere else inside the house.
